"I want you to become men and women who are easily moved by God's inspiration. ...We are happy and alive just so much as our ears are open to His voice and our eyes to His handiwork. That is what I wish for you...."

Write every day
This advice was given to me by a college English professor. It was good advice that I didn't take, what with law school and the busyness of family life that followed. I hope to take it now, and hopefully you will benefit from the sharing of stories even while you suffer under my rusty writing skills.

He rides
After learning to ride without training wheels on Ben's old bike while we were in Illinois, Joseph was excited about riding when we got home. But he was worried that it would be too hard to ride his own bike, inherited from Patrick.
It wasn't a problem. By the second try, he was off and riding down our road. This morning, he rode along (I should say rode ahead) when John and I went on our morning walk. Many thanks to Beth (and Benjamin) for getting him started during the family rendezvous.

NFP is getting cooler
Thanks to Te Deum Laudamus for these NFP videos made by seminarians from Michigan:

NFP vs. Contraception III

And so we begin
Welcome to the Riordon Family blog. We'll (well, probably mostly Judy will) be writing about our adventures in Japan, in homeschooling, and in life. We hope blogging will help us keep in touch with our families and friends around the world and especially with Tommy during his first year away from home.
